Baked Sunday Mornings: Burnt Sugar Bundt Cake with Caramel Rum Frosting

I'm a big fan of the Burnt Sugar Bundt Cake with Caramel Rum Frosting from Baked Explorations. It's this week's assignment for Baked Sunday Mornings, but I didn't have time to make the cake again -- so I'm cheating a little bit and referring folks to my prior post about the cake, which is here.

Recipe: "Burnt Sugar Bundt Cake with Caramel Rum Frosting" from Baked Explorations: Classic American Desserts Reinvented, by Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito. Recipe available here at Baked Sunday Mornings.

Your large candy shards are exceptionally pretty. I read your previous post; I skipped the rum in the frosting and used vanilla instead - delicious.

Really loved what you did with the caramel shards. I did the same thing, inspired by you, and it makes a big impression.
