I had to trim the edges off of this cake before assembly and serving because I accidentally burned it -- I wasn't paying attention and I baked it in a 350 degree oven instead of 325 degrees. Fortunately, the dense and rich cake was just scrumptious after it was trimmed and no one could tell anything was amiss!
